About DMG

When you want to learn about DMG (Distribution Management Group, Inc.), you need to look back to our founding in 2003. Our company came about in response to growing demand from consumers for shorter order cycles, a boom in e-commerce and B2C shipments, and a transportation shift to small parcels.
As a result of these demands, shippers searched for guidance and understanding to navigate the uncharted waters of small parcel carrier contracts and pricing as compared to LTL/TL shipping. That's why we stepped up at DMG to help shippers unravel the mysteries, while assisting them in securing world-class carrier agreements that are commensurate with their shipping, package, and delivery profiles.
From an initial focus on small parcel contract negotiation, our services expanded to include evolving shipper needs and the continually changing transportation landscape. Since our inception, we have added parcel auditing and freight management to our services.

Our Leadership

Mitch Felts, President and CEO
Mitch Felts, our President and CEO, began DMG on the strength of a successful career as a high-level executive in shipper and carrier organizations. He recognized that a shift was coming in the transportation industry from LTL/TL transport to small parcel delivery. In the explosion of ecommerce, he found a growing demand from shippers to lead them to effective small parcel shipping. Simultaneously, Mitch identified that few firms were meeting this demand. From this realization, Distribution Management Group, Inc. (DMG) was born.
Mitch's unique background and entrepreneurial spirit grew into our boutique small parcel consulting firm. Since its creation, DMG has helped shippers save hundreds of millions of dollars by optimizing their small parcel networks and negotiating world-class carrier agreements. Concurrently, Mitch facilitated DMG's expansion into complementary services, including transportation Audit & Recovery and Freight Services. Under Mitch's leadership, DMG grew into a market leader and innovator.
Given his success and experience, Mitch is in demand as a speaker and provider of expertise throughout the supply chain community. He is also a Black Belt in Six Sigma and active member of APICS, WERC, CSCMP, and the NITL.
